The following are valuable tips to know before installing your fence.

BY-LAWS AND PERMITS

You must check with your municipal planning department to ensure you have the proper permits and that your fence project complies with your city’s by-laws. Some municipalities may prohibit certain products and materials.

INSTALLATION OF A SINGLE OR SHARED FENCE

Examine your property’s certificate of location to identify your property boundary to ensure we install your fence within your property’s border. You are responsible for all costs and maintenance if you select and purchase a fence that borders a neighbor.
Fences purchased jointly with a neighbor require shared approvals throughout the installation.

PROPERTY BOUNDARIES

An updated certificate of location helps establish the exact boundary of your land. Painted wooden stakes or buried metal rod markers are set by a land surveyor before installation to identify the property border.

** Important** It is not mandatory to have a property boundary marked if it is not a new construction. However, the established property border will need to be confirmed by the owner of the premises.

COORDINATE YOUR FENCING AND LANDSCAPING WORK

When simultaneously managing several exterior projects (e.g., swimming pool, landscaping, and earthworks) at your home. It is critical to coordinate with each servicer to ensure project stage completion in the proper order. Do not hesitate to tell the contractors that you will have a fence installed.

TEMPORARY FENCE

When installing a new pool, the temporary fence must be in place before filling it with water. We rent temporary fences when you purchase a pool fence. Please request a rental enclosure as soon as possible so we can add it to your contract.

PARKING OR PERMIT REQUIRED

Each piece of equipment we use during installation requires parking near the work site.

Pole excavation work requires that our team parks on the street due to the weight and length of the trailer, which can be up to 40 feet.

All assembly work requires 33 feet of parking space in the driveway or street, so our trailers can fit easily.
It is essential to plan all parking spaces before our team arrives.

** Important Notice ** The customer is responsible for acquiring special parking permits the city requires. Please verify with your municipality whether our trucks and equipment require special authorizations.
